Championship side Norwich City are reportedly keen on signing Vincent Aboubakar from Porto at the end of the season.
According to O Jogo, Besiktas director Umut Guner has been in Portugal to talk about the possibilities of signing the player permanently. The Turkish side and Porto have an agreement so the striker can move for €10m.
Guner reportedly tried to bargain, but he didn’t get a very good response. He was told that it’s €10m or nothing, as there are other sides interested in signing Aboubakar.
The main opponent would be Norwich City, who are ready to pay €12m for the transfer.
Aboubakar had been linked to several English clubs last summer, especially Everton, Middlesbrough, Leicester City and West Ham.
But as a loan to Turkey was the best solution Porto could get, maybe the Premier League interest wasn’t so strong.
Given that Norwich City’s promotion chances are looking slim, it would be an ambitious move for the Carrow Road side.
