Arsenal could be an option for Leicester City defender Timothy Castagne in the summer, if a report from Belgium is to be believed.

Belgium face Austria and Estonia later this month and Het Belang van Limburg state these two ties are crucial for those players who want to give ‘extra push’ to their suitors. Castagne is included in the list and Arsenal are named as one of his suitors.

Leicester have four Belgian players and all of them want to leave the King Power Stadium after the Foxes’ relegation from the Premier League.

With regards to the defender, it’s stated he’s been looked at by unnamed clubs from Spain and Italy. In addition to this, Mikel Arteta’s side are considering signing the 27-year-old.

Castagne’s preferred position is on the right side of the defence but he can also operate as a left-back. HBVL state Leicester want €15-20m to part ways with the fullback in the summer.

Towards the end of May, Het Nieuwsblad stated Arsenal had ‘recently scouted’ the former Atalanta man while in action for Leicester.

Castagne managed two goals and four assists from 42 games last season at Leicester.
