Tottenham Hotspur’s loan deal for Dejan Kulusevski included clause to make the move a permanent one.
To do that, the player needed to appear in a certain number of games, which he’s done, and Spurs needed to qualify for the Champions League, which they haven’t.
There’s still an option for them to buy the Sweden international from Juventus, and to do that they’d have to pay €35m.

Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici were both big fans of the player, having worked with him previously at Juventus. With the Italian pair now gone it makes his Tottenham future uncertain.
The newspaper reports Spurs are set for talks with the Serie A club as they seek to get a discount on that €35m figure.
That looks like a path which could bring success, with there being an acknowledgement in Italy that there’s not a great deal of competition so the €35m figure probably won’t be reached.
