Fulham are said to be interested in Wolfsburg winger Patrick Wimmer.
That’s reported by Belgian journalist Sacha Tavoleri, who today highlights the good first season the player is having in the Bundesliga.
Wimmer joined Wolfsburg in a €5m deal from second division side Arminia Bielefeld last summer, and has four goals and eight assists in 25 appearances for his new club so far.
Tavloeri claims that Wimmer is ‘high’ on Fulham’s ‘shortlist’ for the summer window.
For now, there’s no information on whether the Whites have already opened talks for the signing, and it really seems like they just identified him as a top target for the next market.
Wimmer is well protected by Wolfsburg with a contract until 2027, and it’s obvious that the German side will play hard to let him go just a year after his arrival.
However, his market value has been going up considerably in the past few months, with Transfermarkt now having it as €12m. So Fulham may present the Bundesliga club a chance to make a good profit after just one season.
