Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard has been labelled as ‘the big disappointment’ of Belgium’s international break after failing to impress against Sweden and Germany.
That’s according to Walfoot, who have doubled down on their criticism of the Arsenal man after criticising his performance against Sweden.
They labelled the forward the ‘Flop of the Match’ in a recent analysis of the 3-0 win over the Swedes, echoing others in putting him at the bottom of the pile in terms of performers in Domenico Tedesco’s first game in charge.
And it seems Walfoot were less than impressed again, stating that the Arsenal forward was ‘the big disappointment’ of this international break for Belgium.
Despite being ‘decisive’ since arriving at the Emirates, he ‘really did not make a good impression’ on his new international boss.
Instead, it was a case of ‘repeated missed passes, bad positioning, ball losses galore’ and various other issues that put him at the bottom of the pile in terms of performances.
That could mean bad news for him moving forwards, with Walfoot saying the first impression is ‘always the most important’ and this was not a good one.
They insist that Tedesco is aware of what Trossard is capable of but the Arsenal man, because of his age and experience, has to become one of the captains of this new look side otherwise his international future may be in jeopardy.
