Vfb Stuttgart midfielder Naouirou Ahamada will not be joining Crystal Palace this month despite the Eagles showing interest in him.

That’s according to Sky Germany, who that ‘there will be no change’ for the 20-year-old this month despite reports to the contrary.

We covered a report earlier this week about a potential move to Selhurst Park for Ahamada, with it stated that he would be joining Crystal Palace after they made their move, with the two clubs reaching an agreement.

That was followed by comments from Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth yesterday, with him insisting that no such deal was in place and the player had not asked for the move.

Sky say it won’t be happening either, reporting that despite interest from Crystal Palace, Ahamada will be staying in Germany ‘at least until the summer’.

They say the Eagles were ‘very interested’ in the 20-year-old and VfB were ‘willing to talk’ about a deal as various other outlets had reported.

However, a transfer will ‘not come about’ this month as the youngster has no intention of moving in the January transfer window. That has proven to be the ‘decisive factor’ in the issue.

Whether that will remain the case in the summer will be seen as his current deal expires in 2024 so he will be in the final year of his deal at that point, something which may prompt him and Stuttgart to look at deals.
