The idea that Leicester City could make a move for Robin Gosens in January is one that has lingered in Italy over the past few weeks.
We saw a claim from FCInterNews last month stating that the Foxes, who recently beat Leeds 2-0, could return for the German defender, who is barely playing these days at Inter.
Sure, he scored against Barcelona, but with reports that the Serie A side are interested in Ramy Bensebaini, the possibility of Gosens leaving is growing.
This hasn’t stopped, with TuttoMercatoWeb on Friday claiming the player ‘could leave in January’, and ‘it’s not certain’ that he will remain at Inter beyond the upcoming transfer window.
Not only are Leicester keen, but clubs in Germany, with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen named, are also in the mix.
A lot could depend on how much Inter decide to use him ‘between now and the World Cup’, and if Simone Inzaghi turns to him more often than not, this won’t become an issue.
However, if he ends up being benched more often than not, then a move away isn’t excluded, meaning a door for Leicester could open just wide enough for Brendan Rodgers to stick his foot in.
