Jorginho’s agent is a big fan of giving interviews to the Italian media and the Chelsea star’s future at Stamford Bridge is a regular topic of discussion.
The last time João Santos spoke was on June 25th, where he admitted that the midfielder will only leave the Blues if they don’t renew his contract, which currently expires in 2023.
Earlier today, Santos appeared as a guest for Radio Marte’s program, ‘Si gonfia la rete’, less than 24 hours after his client helped Italy beat Spain to reach Euro 2020 final.
The ex-Napoli man won the Champions League with Thomas Tuchel’s side in May and should he go on to win the European championship with the national team, his agent believes the Blues star can be a contender to win the Ballon d’Or.
“I was at Wembley last night. Penalty kick? He takes that kind of penalty in training at least 30-40 times a day, he succeeds automatically now,” Santos said.
“He won the Champions League and did very well. Now maybe on Sunday he can also win the European Championship. And maybe he can also enter the Ballon d’Or list.”
The Brazil-born Italy international’s agent has set a valuation for the player. He has also revealed being approached by clubs for his client and details Jorginho’s plans for the future.
“Proposals for the boy? Today, Jorginho’s valuation is around €50m. If a team arrives… Obviously he has made it to many finals,” the agent explained.
“Did any club call me? Yes, but our first thought is to speak to Marina Granovskaia about the renewal. This is certainly a very important moment in his career, he has been waiting for it [Euro final] for 20 years.”
