Tuesday saw Leeds United pulled into the transfer picture for Loic Badé. The Lens defender had earlier been linked with Liverpool, and there’s thought to be further interest from various clubs around Europe.
Badé has been a key player in Lens’ return to Ligue 1, starting 16 out of a possible 18 games so far, and he’s keen to continue getting regular minutes. Initial reports suggested that would see him reject the idea of a transfer in January, yet it’s now stated that a lot will depend on what offers Lens receive.
TMW today cover interest from AC Milan, with the Rossoneri looking at several options for central defence. Mohamed Simakan had been first choice, but the Strasbourg player recently picked up an injury and that could complicate things.
Other options for the Serie A club are Chelsea’s Fikayo Tomori and the Lens player. As part of their report, TMW say Badé is ‘in the notebook’ at Leeds United, and they also back up Liverpool interest.
Like their player, Lens would prefer to wait until the summer window, however, a January transfer is presented as possible if an offer arrives that’s big enough to make the French club wobble.
