Just yesterday, we covered West Ham United being linked to Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha.

A report from Tutto Mercato Web claimed the Hammers had ‘probed the ground’ to get information on the possible signing of the 25-year-old.

Today, we see Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport featuring a story on Strakosha, and it looks like his days at the Serie A side may be numbered.

They detail that he started the season as the team’s first choice, but ended up losing his place to Pepe Reina, and is now sitting on the bench.

Due to the lack of playing time, even his talks for a renewal are now stuck, since there’s ‘fear’ from him of spending too much time on the bench in the future.

That’s why a transfer could happen ‘in this transfer window’, Gazzetta says. The outlet doesn’t name the clubs who are chasing Strakosha, but in case West Ham are really interested, that sounds like a golden opportunity for a move.
