Last month, Brighton & Hove Albion exercised the option to recall Jakub Moder in the winter market.

The Seagulls agreed a deal with Lech Poznań for the midfielder’s transfer on deadline day of the summer transfer window and then immediately loaned him back to the Polish side.

Brighton technical director Dan Ashworth admitted his side loaned the 21-year-old back to Lech Poznań because their season had already started and they decided to wait until January.

Moder was initially expected to arrive at The Amex just after Christmas, but he has still not travelled to England.

According to Onet Sport, Graham Potter’s side decided to give the player a ‘few more days off’ because of the busy schedule he had in the first half of the season.

The Poland international made 24 appearances in all competitions for Lech Poznań and six more for his country since last August.

It’s claimed Moder ‘will be in Brighton today or at the latest tomorrow’. He has already started training individually, but will have to wait before he makes his debut for the Premier League side.

“We will wait a little longer for Kuba [Jakub] to perform,” said Moder’s agent Tomasz Magdziarz.
