Braga midfielder João Palhinha is ‘determined’ to secure a move to England, but Wolverhampton Wanderers are yet to make their move for him.
That’s what Record report today, stating that it is ‘certain’ his career will not continue through Alvalade with the player currently staying in Lisbon to ‘resolve his situation’.
Wolves have been linked with a move for the midfielder since May when it was claimed they had reached an agreement in principle over a €15m move.
There have been several updates on a potential deal since then, with reports in Portugal this week stating that they were ‘very close’ to getting a deal over the line.
A move is very much on the cards, though, with the player having been dismissed from training in Algarve to try and sort out his future.
He is determined to secure a move to England and is willing to wait a few more days to make it happen.
Braga are aware of his wishes, and as long as a minimum offer of €15m arrives, they won’t put any obstacles in the way.
So far all of the bids have fallen short of that figure but the footballer, who also has admirers in Spain, France and Russia, believes he will still be able to secure his dream move to the Premier League and resist offers from elsewhere.
