Manchester United have ‘tested the possibility’ of signing Vitor Roque from Barcelona this summer, with him currently on a collision course with the Catalan club.
That’s according to AS, who say the Brazilian striker’s situation is a ‘volcano ready to explode’ and Manchester United are in the wings waiting to potentially take advantage.
They explain that the forward has not been enjoying the minutes he wanted since he arrived in January and that’s left him at a crossroads at the club.
Barcelona are testing the option of a loan, but his entourage aren’t interested in that and have made it clear that he will either play for Barcelona next season or exit permanently.
A tug-of-war is developing and will be resolved in the coming weeks but in the interim, several teams will try to take advantage.
Manchester United are one of them and have already ‘tested the possibility’ of signing the youngster this summer.
A move for them would depend on several departures taking place first but the club are preparing a ‘facelift’ under INEOS in the summer, and he could be a part of it. Indeed, he would be signed to accompany Rasmus Hojlund in their attack.
It all depends on what happens with Barcelona, who it seems Roque is set to go head-to-head with this summer over his future if they can’t give him what he wants moving forwards.
