According to Sportime, via Greek website Sdna.Gr, Scottish giants Celtic are ready to make a move for Olympiacos’ right-back Omar Elabdellaoui.
The Norwegian defender has been strongly linked with a move away from the club throughout the summer as clubs like Leicester and Southampton have been credited with an interest, but neither proved to be anything concrete.
However, Sdna report he’s now a target for Neil Lennon’s Celtic, who played Hatem Abd Elhamed in the role against Dunfermline, and if the Scottish club offer €5m, then the player should be theirs.
The former Hull City player’s move to Parkhead will depend on Scottish club’s progression in Europa League as Sdna said if they manage to beat AIK in the qualifying stages, the chances of them making a move for the 27-year-old will increase.
Elabdellaoui has been on the books of Olympiacos since 2014 and had a loan spell at Hull City back in the second half of 2016/17 season.
He is under contract with his club until June 2021.
