Earlier this week, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported AC Milan have returned for Tottenham Hotspur’s Emerson Royal, after initially putting the negotiations on hold. He also stated they hope to buy him in the coming days.
The Serie A side have made further efforts to sign the right-back this summer, according to multiple claims from Italy.
Gianluca Di Marzio now states the Rossoneri have made new contacs with Tottenham to find an agreement.
The journalist says the ‘parties are getting closer’, meaning the gap between the two clubs is reducing. Milan haven’t yet found a definitive agreement with Ange Postecoglou’s side, but ‘contacts continue’ to find a solution for the 25-year-old.
He makes no mention of any figures, while earlier claims have stated Spurs want €20m to let the Brazil international leave in this window.
Sky Italia also state Serie A side are ‘getting close and closer’ to securing a deal for the defender. It’s further claimed they have offered a deal close to €15m, while Tottenham are requesting €20m.
It’s not specified whether Milan’s proposal includes or excludes bonuses, but they continue to hold talks with the north London club to try and find an agreement.
