Paris Saint-Germain’s Carlos Soler has ended up on Brighton & Hove Albion’s target list for the summer window, according to multiple claims from France.
The 28-year-old was on loan at West Ham this season and has to return to PSG after the Hammers confirmed they won’t buy him.
Soler is ‘not expected to stay’ at PSG next season and Brighton have shown interest in him.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who cover Brighton and Villarreal’s interest in the midfielder. His contract at Parc des Princes is until 2027 but is expected to be change clubs this summer.
Both Fabian Hürzeler’s side and the La Liga club have made moves to secure the Spain international’s services. The Yellow Submarine’s intention is to sign him on loan with an option to buy.
L’Equipe make no mention of whether PSG are willing to let Soler leave again on a new loan transfer.
French journalist Marc Mechenoua took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report Brighton have made contact for Soler.
The Seagulls have to step up quickly if want to sign him because Mechenoua claims the hottest track leads to Villarreal. Soler, for his part, would prefer to return to his country and this gives the La Liga club an advantage over Brighton.
