Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko has been linked with a move to Serie A in the last few days and now the Gunners could witness another player follow the Ukrainian to Italy.
Gazzetta dello Sport report an emissary from AC Milan held talks with executives of the London club on Tuesday.
Zinchenko and Polish defender Jakub Kiwior were the topic of discussion.
The Rossoneri believe that they need to shore up their backline immediately and the two Arsenal players can help them do that and are also versatile enough to cover other positions.
The Ukraine international’s price tag is thought to be less than €15m and Milan will look to offer him lower wages than what he currently earns, making him an affordable profile. He could potentially act as a replacement for Theo Hernandez at the San Siro, with the Frenchman attracting interest from Atletico Madrid
Kiwior is seen as a reliable option at centre-back due to his international experience with Poland and his previous experience in Serie A from his time at Spezia.
At the same time, journalist Gianluigi Longari reports Gunners interest in Ajax’s Jorrel Hato.
He claims in a tweet that the 19-year-old has been tracked by Arsenal for months now and while there is competition from other Premier League sides, Mikel Arteta’s club ‘seem ready’ to make a move to land the teenager.
Hato is a left-back by nature but is versatile enough to play at centre-back – a bit like Zinchenko and Kiwior.
It remains to be seen if the youngster will replace either of the Arsenal players but the interest is definitely there.
