Husie IF youngster Elias Olsson has told the Swedish media Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has been a big help to him. The 14-year-old is being tracked by the likes of Feyenoord and FC Midtjylland.

Speaking to Malmo24, Olsson was asked what it was like being coached briefly by Jansson when he was at Arlöv BI.

Olsson said the Leeds United defender was a good coach, and even though he could be straight at times it was beneficial to him. The youngster went on to say he has been compared to the Sweden international in the way they play.

“He likes to help young people and he was actually a good coach, although he can be a bit hard. Pontus knew what was good for me. Many people say that we are quite similar in our games,” said the young Swede.

Jansson joined Leeds United last summer, and has become something of a cult hero with the Elland Road faithful. The 26-year-old was one of Leeds United’s standout players last season, and will again be important going into the next campaign.

Promotion to the Premier League will be the main objective for the club next season, given the investment they’ve already made this summer.
