Tottenham Hotspur’s alleged interest in Kamil Glik is carried by French newspaper L’Equipe in their Tuesday edition. The Polish central defender has been linked with Tottenham previously, and several other clubs in the Premier League.

At 29 and with an AS Monaco contract ending in June 2020, a renewal is probably more wanted by the player than it is needed by Monaco, and reports from Sport.pl in Poland of Spurs offering more than Monaco have, in terms of wages, could be a nudge towards the Principality club.

Nevertheless, L’Equipe have taken it up and explain that Mauricio Pochettino values the rough edge of Glik, and the player’s Champions League performances have been noted. With Kevin Wimmer quite possibly leaving White Hart Lane, sorry, Wembley, this summer, there’s possibly a space available to make a Glik move happen.

L’Equipe claim that several English sides have made enquiries in recent weeks, but Tottenham are ‘most interested’. The French newspaper say it’s hard to judge if Tottenham are set to make a quick offer, encouraged by Pochettino’s interest, but it’s stated Spurs know any offer will have to be good for Monaco to consider it.
