There’s a claim in the Greek media that Wolverhampton Wanderers are looking to sign AEK striker Nelson Oliveira.
After earlier reports said the Premier League side are attempting to sign Olympiacos’ Daniel Podence, Greek Radio Sport Fm report, via Goal.Philenews, Wolves are also interested in signing Oliveira.
The Portuguese striker joined AEK from Norwich City at the start of the season and has been impressing with his performances. He’s scored 10 goals for the Athens club across all competitions.
Oliveira is believed to have a release clause of around €7m, and it’s worth noting that he’s represented by Jorge Mendes, just like Podence is.
If signed, it’s likely the forward will provide back-up to Raul Jimenez for the No.9 position. The Mexican has already played 35 games during a hectic season for Wolves.
Oliveira, who had previous spells with Benfica, Swansea City, Nottingham Forest and Reading is under contract with AEK until June 2021.
