A couple of weeks ago it was reported in Italy that Wolves had submitted an offer for Andrea Pinamonti.
The young Inter Milan striker has repeatedly been linked with a move in January, and Wolves were one of a number of clubs said to be interested.
It was Gazzetta dello Sport who broke the news, claiming Wolves were ‘pressing’ for the youngster, but there was no further explanation over what that offer included.
Sassuolo have now got involved and TMW report the Serie A club are holding a meeting with Inter Milan today to try and get a deal over the line.
Pinamonti would initially be leaving Inter Milan on loan until the end of the season, with an option for Sassuolo to make the move permanent come the summer window.
There’s no mention of Wolves still being around for the striker, and perhaps they’ve decided they don’t need another young hotshot given Rafa Mir recently joined the club from Valencia.
