Wolverhampton Wanderers have seen an initial €15m offer for Sasa Kalajdzic rejected by Stuttgart, who want more for the striker.
That’s according to SportBILD journalist Tobias Altschaffl, who says Bruno Lage’s side will have to up their efforts to get the forward.
Kalajdzic has been linked with a move away from Stuttgart all summer, despite injuries last season limiting his minutes on the pitch.
He remains highly thought of in and outside of Germany and it is Wolves who have emerged as favourites for him over the last few days.
They’re keen to add extra firepower to their forward line to compete with Raul Jimenez and Kalajdzic is seen as an ideal option to do so.
Reports have made it clear they are in talks to get a deal over the line and already have an agreement in place with the player over the move to Molineux.
Altschaffl pulls things back slightly, though, reporting that Wolves have seen a ‘first offer’ of €15m rejected by the German side.
According to his information, ‘Stuttgart wants more’ for their player.
What their asking price is isn’t mentioned, nor is whether Wolves will increase their efforts, just that they need to if a deal is to happen before the window closes.
Update Kalajdzic: Wolverhampton made a first offer for the striker: 15 Mio. Euro. But: Stuttgart wants more.
