According to a claim in the Greek media, Wolverhampton Wanderers are attempting to sign Olympiacos attacking midfielder Daniel Podence.
Sport 24 report the Premier League side are ready to submit an offer in the region of €30m to sign the 24 year old and the player could leave the club before the transfer window closes next week.
It’s also reported the former Sporting winger’s agent Jorge Mendes will be expected to arrive in Greece shortly to complete the deal. The super agent has been behind a number of transfer deals for the Molineux side in recent years.
Sport 24 say Olympiacos manager Pedro Martins has also been informed about the potential transfer and it’s suggested that this could be completed in the coming days.
If Podence joins the Wolves for the aforementioned fee, this will the biggest ever sale any Greek club has completed.
Podence has made 27 appearances for Olympiacos in all competitions this season and scored five goals.
