Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Léo Bonatini is on the verge of signing for Portuguese side Vitória de Guimarães. The information was first reported by website Mais Futebol and then confirmed by Sport Witness.
The Brazilian is already in the city of Guimarães, where he’s been negotiating the last details of the move. The transfer should me made official on Friday.
Leo Bonatini is expected to join Vitória on a one-year loan deal. According to our sources, the Portuguese side will have the chance to buy him for €3.5m, with Wolves keeping 50% of a future sale.
Bonatini’s negotiations to join Vitória de Guimarães were reported by Portuguese newspapers this morning, so things have escalated pretty quickly.
Bonatini has already made his name in Portugal, where he left a good impression playing for Estoril, having scored 24 goals in 53 matches for the club.
He left the country to play for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, and after that, he made the move to Wolves, first on a loan, then permanently.
After not getting a lot of playing time under Nuno Espírito Santo in the early stages of last season, Bonatini spent the second part of it on loan at Nottingham Forest.
