Yesterday we brought you a claim from Italy that stated Wolves had made an offer for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
Sport Mediaset said that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were keen on the Ivorian midfielder and had already offered €28m for his services.
Well, Gazzetta Dello Sport pick up on the story today and back up that Wolves want the midfielder and have him on their shortlist.
They also back up that they have already submitted an offer, although they fail to give an exact figure and simply state that it was more than €20m.
It’s still unknown if the bid is acceptable for Milan, who are evaluating whether they actually want to let the former Atalanta midfielder go.
Gazzetta seem to think that a move to the Premier League would suit Kessie and his characteristics, but there’s no indication of whether he would actually be interested in the move.
With the Premier League transfer deadline looming, though, this looks like a move that has the potential to heat up in the next week or so. Wolves are indeed interested, it just remains to be seen if Milan are happy to let Kessie go.
