With AS Roma deciding not to trigger their €13m buying option over Sérgio Oliveira, the midfielder is now returning to Porto, who’d like to find a new solution for him this summer.
And it turns out that, according to newspaper Jornal de Notícias, there are a few clubs who are already interested in signing the midfielder this window.
The report says Napoli were already chasing him for a while, and are now joined by the likes of Valencia and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
With the midfielder more eager to move to La Liga or the Premier League, Jornal de Notícias expects a ‘duel’ between the Mestalla side and Wolves, claiming Porto could make €15m with the sale.
As usually mentioned by the Portuguese media when talking about the Molineux side, Jornal de Notícias points out that João Moutinho’s contract is expiring this summer, and the club may also sell Ruben Neves, so they’re in need of reinforcing their midfield in this transfer window.
It’s also claimed that Wolves’ relationship with Jorge Mendes could also help them with this battle, even though Valencia, their main competitors, have strong bonds with the agent as well.
