Lyon will name an unchanged XI for their clash with Manchester United in the Europa League this evening.

That’s according to RMC Sport, who report that Lyon are set to stick with the same side that played the first leg against Manchester United a week ago.

According to their information, manager Paulo Fonseca has decided to stick with the side that started the 2-2 draw against Manchester United in Lyon last week.

This means that Paul Akouokou will again start in midfield, having been a surprise replacement for Nemanja Matic in the position in the first leg, while Georges Mikautadze will be handed the centre forward role.

Alexandre Lacazette will again be a substitute against the side he faced many times during his spell at Arsenal. RMC Sport say the expected line-up for Lyon, will therefore be as follows:

Perri – Maitland-Niles, Mata, Niakhaté, Tagliafico – Cherki, Akouokou, Veretout, Almada, Tolisso – Mikautadze.

What affect this has on Manchester United’s plans, specifically Ruben Amrorim’s, for the game, remains to be seen.

He’s already admitted that Andre Onana will be back in goal after missing the defeat to Newcastle United and there is every chance he too could name an unchanged XI like Lyon will seemingly do.
