Greek side Olympiacos are being tested for Coronavirus today, according to a report from Portugal.
Record says manager Pedro Martins and all of his players are going through exams at the club’s training centre. Martins is Portuguese, hence the reason this is being reported in Portugal.
The tests are taking place this afternoon, and were rushed after Olympiacos owner Evangelos Marinakis announced he’s been infected.
In a statement on Instagram, the 52 year old said he’s currently well and taking all the necessary precautions to help himself get back to health and to minimise the risk to those around him.
The Greek side are set to play Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Europa League on Thursday, so it’s inevitable to wonder if this match is at risk now.
UEFA had already announced that this game would be played behind closed doors, and the tests today should at least confirm if the match is happening at all.
