Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly submitted a €25m offer for the Benfica winger Andre Carrillo, according to Diário de Notícias.
Added to the €25m bid for Anderson Talisca, this offer means Wolves want to spend €50m in Benfica players this summer.
But the newspaper says the offer for Carrillo is expected to be turned down by the club. Although the 25-year-old signed from Sporting for free this summer, Benfica would want at least €30m to let him go.
Carrillo wouldn’t like the move either, as he already rejected a transfer to China since he doesn’t want to sign for a club he feels to be a big step down.
Despite the Peruvian’s move being rejected, Diário de Notícias says the Talisca transfer should still succeed.
We’re not so sure about this, it feels to easy right now to link Benfica players to Wolves.
