It wouldn’t be a real transfer window build-up if there wasn’t a story linking André Silva to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Thankfully, Corriere dello Sport have helped us feel right at home on Friday morning when looking at the Portuguese’s potential options once he returns to Milan from his loan at Sevilla.
Starting off incredibly well, his spell in Spain has turned into something of a nightmare in recent weeks, to the point where he had to come out and explain he wasn’t faking an injury after his manager questioned his priorities.
With little chance of the La Liga club making the deal permanent, Milan will have to deal with the 23-year-old when he return, or, at least, Jorge Mendes will.
Corriere dello Sport explain the club will leave it up to the super agent to arrange an exit for his client, with three clubs reportedly enquiring: Wolverhampton, Marseille and Monaco.
Seeing as Wolves only have the one out and out striker at the club (Raul Jimenez), adding another wouldn’t be a bad idea, especially if he can be as cheap as what Milan are said to be asking for André Silva.
According to Corriere, in order to ensure they don’t record a loss on their balance sheet, the Italians would need to sell him for around €30m.
If true, that’s quite the bargain for Wolves, especially since Silva knows Nuno Espirito Santo from their time together at Porto, scoring 16 goals in 32 league appearances under the now Wolves manager.
