Borussia Dortmund may see some changes in their team ahead of the Champions League clash against Newcastle United tonight.
The news is brought by Bild, and report that Niclas Fullkrug could be benched by manager Edin Terzic for the big match.
The outlet claims that the striker, who arrived in a €13m deal from Werder Bremen last summer, hasn’t really ‘arrived’ at Dortmund yet.
The story even picks some statistics showing that the more experienced striker has been having poor numbers at Dortmund this season, not getting close to what he used to show at Werder Bremen, and that’s why they don’t expect a lot from him for the match against Newcastle.
In case the Bundesliga side really choose Moukoko instead, they’d be picking a younger player who isn’t a regular starter in the team, and only has two goals in nine appearances this season, being mostly brought on at the end of matches.
A goal against Newcastle would definitely be a great chance to launch himself.
