Juventus duo Cristiano Giuntoli and Giovanni Manna are currently in London for talks with Arsenal over a potential deal for Thomas Partey.

That’s according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, who says the pair are working out their options as they look to reinforce a midfield left short by suspensions to Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli.

The former is set to serve a ban for failing a drugs test while the latter has been banned for betting offences, leaving Juventus without two players who should be first-team regulars.

They need to make signings to cover the gaps in Max Allegri’s squad and Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is one of the players they are looking at.

Di Marzio explains that Manna and Giuntoli are undertaking a ‘blitz in London’ looking at various players they could target, and Arsenal are one of the sides they’ve had ‘contacts and meetings’ with.

Partey is a player they’ve liked for a while and currently finds himself playing more of a secondary role under Mikel Arteta after the big-money arrival of Declan Rice, although that has been partly due to injuries also.

Juventus are interested nonetheless, and Manna and Giuntoli have been holding talks about a potential transfer happening in January.

They were present in the stands for Tottenham’s clash with Chelsea last night, as Pierre Emile Hojbjerg is another name being looked at, something which is being taken as further proof of their London based transfer efforts.

Whether that means they’ll be at the Emirates on Wednesday to see Arsenal take on Sevilla and hold potential talks before or afterwards remains to be seen, but Partey to Juventus is certainly something to keep an eye on regardless.
