West Ham United are linked to one more player who belongs to a Portuguese club today. This time, former Watford player Miguel Layun.

The left-back has a contract with Porto which runs until 2019, and is currently having a loan spell at Sevilla.

Portuguese newspaper A Bola claims it’s very unlikely the player will make it to the end of his contract with the Dragons, and that’s for two reasons: he may stay at Sevilla or leave to West Ham.

The Spanish side have the option to buy him for €5m at the end of the season. And in case they don’t do that, the outlet says that West Ham are willing to sign him as well.

Loaned to Sevilla in January, Layun has made 16 appearances for the club so far, quite a decent amount in such a short time.

Now with his future lying in the Spanish club’s hands, West Ham probably need to wait and see if he’ll be available in the summer.

If he is, then it seems the price shouldn’t be very high.
