According to a claim in the Turkish media, Newcastle United will use Galatasaray’s final two league games to get a last lowdown on Garry Rodrigues before the summer window.

The Cape Verde international has been linked with the Premier League side in recent months after reports the Magpies have already had two bids rejected by the Turkish giants.

Despite recent reports Newcastle United wouldn’t be scouting Rodrigues again this season, Fanatik report English side will now be present at Galatasaray’s last home game on Saturday.

The Magpies then plan to watch Rodrigues again the following weekend when the Turkish league leaders take on Goztepe.

According to Fanatik, Galatasaray will open transfer talks at the end of the season for any club interested in signing the 27 year old, but due to his performances in this campaign his value has soared.

Newcastle United have already reportedly failed with bids of €6m and €8m, but it’s likely they would need to offer €20m or more to land the player.

Fellow Premier League side Everton also plan to watch Galatasaray’s final games of the season, with the intention to monitor Rodrigues.
