Marseille will be looking to sell players this summer, and that’s seen several of their team linked with moves to the Premier League.

L’Equipe had a feature on it in their Monday edition, but didn’t mention Maxime Lopez and a potential move to England.

AreaNapoli have done that over the weekend, bringing West Ham and Aston Villa in when talking about interest from Napoli and Sevilla.

According to their claims, Sevilla are ahead in the race partly because a source close to the player’s entourage has revealed Lopez has a desire to play in La Liga.

Monchi, Sevilla’s well known sporting director, is following the situation, and has a good track record with signings. He’ll have to work hard, because it’s stated Marseille want €20m for the 22 year old, whereas Sevilla and West Ham want to pay ‘no more than €15m in total’.

Given the ‘in total’ it sounds like both clubs would start at a lower base price and add bonuses which could see the amount reach €15m.

Aston Villa are presented as having offered around €10m.
