If RMC Sport are to be believed on their live blog, Issa Diop’s transfer to West Ham is imminent.
The French outlet report on Monday afternoon the centre-back is currently undergoing his medical ahead of the move, with the signing of the contract to follow soon after.
As has been reported since the beginning, with the story emerging in L’Equipe last week, the transfer is expected to see €25m land in the Ligue 1 side’s bank account, who will, in the process, be losing their captain.
RMC state Diop will sign a five-year contract at the London Stadium, and is one of several players the Premier League club have been reportedly close to signing recently.
The French centre-back will be the Hammers’ second signing of the summer after the arrival of Ryan Fredericks on a free from Fulham, and should, if the club can agree a fee, be followed by Felipe Anderson from Lazio for a €35m+ fee.
