Just last week, we looked at the current situation surrounding Morgan Sanson, who has, for a while now, been a target for Premier League clubs.
The midfielder has been instrumental in Marseille’s good form this season, as they currently sit second in Ligue 1, comfortably in a Champions League spot, and any talk of an exit in January was ruled out by both his manager, André Villas-Boas, and the player himself.
West Ham were said to have made a bid back in December, and now it appears Crystal Palace have also taken an interest, according to France Football.
The magazine look at the situation regarding Marseille and their players, as sales will be necessary in the summer.
They look at who could be sold and who could stay, and when analysing Sanson’s future, they explain that West Ham ‘are still there, just like Crystal Palace’.
In fact, both clubs ‘travelled to the Vélodrome to supervise the player’ this season.
It’s stated Marseille would want around €40m for their man, but there’s a belief €20-25m could be enough, unless you’re a Premier League club, where €30m would be expected because of the financial boosts each side benefits from.
It might seem unfair, but when Fulham spend €30m on André Zambo Anguissa, this is what is expected on the other side of the Channel.
David Moyes and Roy Hodgson have been warned and if they really want to convince Marseille, West Ham and Crystal Palace will simply need to cough up the money.
