Monday’s edition of De Telegraaf had a feature on the future of Joroen Zoet and the goalkeeper’s frustrations.
The Dutch newspaper reported Zoet is frustrated with PSV because he feels they’ve gone back on a verbal agreement to sell him for a reasonable fee.
It was reported the goalkeeper is aware of Crystal Palace and Newcastle United being keen, but the higher fee has put a block against a transfer.
Zoet believes he had a verbal agreement to leave for €5-6m, but with PSV demanding around double this it put off clubs including Crystal Palace and Newcastle.
Now it seems PSV have hit back, with Voetbal International reporting the only club to come forward concretely has been West Ham. It’s stated Slaven Bilic’s side offered €3m for the player, and neither Crystal Palace or Newcastle have even made a bid, of whatever level.
On top of that, West Ham are only interested in Zoet as a back-up, so would have to sell Adrian first.
