Besiktas president Fikret Orman has insisted West Ham’s Gokhan Tore ‘must admit publicly’ if he wants to return to Besiktas, report Turkey’s Futbol Arena.
Orman spoke at the opening ceromony of club’s official store in Istanbul said that: ”We haven’t talked to West Ham yet. We’re content with the situation. He’s a young guy, we were expecting him to play a bit more but that hasn’t been the case, but that’s normal. We also think West Ham are content, too as they have never said to us they want to cut his loan deal short.”
Orman also used some interesting words for Tore’s situation: ”He said to us that he wants to play at Europe. We talked to our manager and decided it’s the best for him. And now you’re (the Turkish press) writing stories about he’s coming back.
“We’re not a club that you can walk in when you want. He has to say publicly that he wants to return. He has to say like Ricardo Quaresma that he wants a return to his ‘home’. If he has that kind of feelings, then we’re ok with it because he’s our player.”
The West Ham winger’s future is pretty much up in the air after a disappointing start to the campaign which has inevitably led to suggestions of a very quick return to Besiktas.
The more recent reports have insinuated Tore is keen to stay and fight for his place at West Ham, but perhaps that’s because Besiktas aren’t exactly rolling out the red carpet for a return.
