Earlier on Wednesday, we covered the latest from the local Sevilla press regarding West Ham United’s interest in Youssef En-Nesyri.

The information by Estadio Deportivo relayed the original report from David Ornstein, adding the €30m package the Hammers would be ready to put forward was ‘clearly insufficient’, and that they’d need to go ‘significantly higher’ if they wanted to stand a chance at convincing Monchi and co.

RMC Sport now join the fray, confirming the offer has been ‘put forward’, but it has been ‘rejected’ by Sevilla.

With that now out of the way, the French outlet state ‘oral negotiations now need to take place between the two parties before West Ham make their second offer’.

The Morocco international has scored 12 goals in 25 appearances for the La Liga side this season in all competitions, becoming David Moyes’ apparent top priority when it comes to replacing Sébastien Haller, who was recently sold to Ajax Amsterdam.

The Scottish manager is now left with just Michail Antonio to choose from in the striker role, who was the sole goalscorer in the 1-0 win over Burnley at the weekend.
