West Ham United have joined Arsenal in the chase to sign Juventus’ Arthur Melo in the summer.
The midfielder has been restricted to only 16 starts in all competitions this season due to injuries and poor form. A failure to cement a place under Massimiliano Allegri could lead to an exit from the Turin club.
That’s according to Sport Mediaset, who explain the 25-year-old ‘seems increasingly on the path of farewell’.
The Serie A side, for their part, are ‘trying to place the central midfielder’ in the market. This could come as encouragement for West Ham United.
The Old Lady are interested in Gabriel Magalhães. Earlier this week, Juve chief Federico Cherubini made a trip to London, where he discussed the possibility of a swap deal involving the Gunners defender and Arthur.
If the deal with Arsenal were to fail, then West Ham United could come into the picture for the former Barcelona man. It’s claimed David Moyes’ side ‘seem interested’ in Arthur and his club teammate, Moise Kean, who is currently on loan from Everton.
