On April 14th, Corriere dello Sport explained Alessandro Bastoni is ‘highly appreciated’ by Manchester City and Pep Guardiola is an admirer of the Inter Milan player.

The 23-year-old has been a regular figure in the Serie A side’s defence and managed to retain his place in the starting lineup after Simone Inzaghi replaced Antonio Conte at the San Siro last summer.

His displays have not gone unnoticed and he’s caught the attention of top European clubs like Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

That’s according to FcInterNews, who explain the two are clubs are ‘interested’ in the centre-back. In addition to this, Bastoni’s agent, Tullio Tinti, has ‘already been contacted’ by both the Citizens and Bayern.

The Nerazzurri informed the agent that the Italy international is considered transferable, as long as they received an offer of ‘not less than €60m’. Inzaghi, for his part, ‘would accept’ his ‘sacrifice’, provided Inter bring in a substitute.

Although Manchester City and Bayern are ‘interested’ in Bastoni, FcInterNews make it clear there are no negotiations for him so far. ‘Only an opening of Inter’ to a possible sale of their player if they receive a ‘significant offer’.
