West Ham United have joined clubs in England and Italy in chasing Torino’s Saša Lukić.

The Serbia international has 18 months left on his contract and is refusing to sign a new deal, which has convinced the Serie A side to make him available in the winter market.

Torino chief Davide Vagnati wants €15m for the midfielder, who is wanted by West Ham, AS Roma and Napoli.

That’s according to Tuttosport, who state the two Italian clubs are looking to sign the 26-year-old on loan with an obligation to buy set at €10m. Amid interest from them, it’s said the Hammers could ‘eventually win’ the race because of Nikola Vlašić.

In the summer, David Moyes’ side let the ex-Everton man join the Turin club on loan with an option to buy for €15m, which Torino want to exercise.

Lukić is valued at €15m while Torino must pay the same figure to buy the Croatian. The latter now want to pay less for Vlašić and also collect the maximum fee from the Serbian’s sale.

Therefore, the ‘negotiations are open’ with everyone. Lukić, for his part, ‘wants’ a transfer and the impression is that he ‘will be sold’ by Torino.

It remains to be seen whether West Ham are willing to give discounts for Vlašić.
