Sabah report Besiktas are looking for at least €8m for Gary Medel, with Burnley and West Ham United reportedly still interested in signing the Chilean international.
West Ham have been linked with a move for Medel since the start of the window after a claim they made an offer for the former Cardiff City man, but more recent reports suggest Burnley are also in the picture following claims they made a €6m offer to sign the player.
According to Sabah, Burnley’s offer for midfielder came via intermediaries and not directly to the Super Lig club as initially reported in the Turkish press.
However, the Istanbul club’s president Fikret Orman has stated he is only willing to talk once an official offer is submitted by West Ham or Burnley.
There’s a chance the whole thing is being built by middlemen, who want to find a deal and then present it to Premier League clubs.
The Turkish newspaper says Besiktas value Medel in the region of €8m as they see him as an important member of the squad ahead of the second half of the season.
Medel is under contract at Besiktas until 2020 and he’s been one of the most consistent performers at the club since his move from Inter Milan in 2017.
