Maxence Lacroix’s performances for VfL Wolfsburg this season have not gone unnoticed as West Ham United and Aston Villa are among a few clubs to have developed interest.

Operating in the heart of defence, he’s made 29 league starts this season and missed only a handful of games due to injury and suspension. This has helped him maintain a ‘good rating’ in the market, especially in the Premier League.

According to Jeunes Footeux, West Ham United and Aston Villa are ‘interested’ in the 22-year-old. It’s claimed these two sides are ‘attentive to the situation’ of the Frenchman.

That’s all the report has to say about the interest shown by the two English clubs.

Lacroix has three more years left on his contract and Transfermarkt value him at €20m. It is highly unlikely that suitors like West Ham United and Aston Villa can take him away from the Bundesliga side for that figure.

That does not mean the defender cannot make a switch to another club in the summer. Jeunes Footeux add that if there is interesting offer, then it is certain Wolfsburg will not retain Lacroix.
