After West Bromwich Albion were relegated from the Premier League in 2018, Allan Nyom left the Baggies and joined Leganes on a loan deal last summer.
The right-back made 23 appearances in La Liga, which included 20 starts for Mauricio Pellegrino’s side during the 2018/19 season.
Prior to arriving in England, the former Watford man had a spell with Granada. His overall experience of playing in the Spanish league could benefit him in the summer transfer window.
Fichajes has a report on the Cameroon international and the headline reads ‘Allan Nyom approaches Getafe’.
Getafe are interested in the 31-year-old and it is claimed that his addition to their squad is ‘about to be closed’.
Fichajes does not mention whether it will be a loan deal or a permanent transfer and if it’s the latter, the financial details of the operation have also not been cited.
With a year left on Nyom’s contract at The Hawthorns, it makes sense for the Championship side to cash in from Nyom’s sale, rather than letting him leave as a free agent in 2020.
