PSV Eindhoven star Xavi Simons has insisted he is yet to make a decision about his future as he is linked with a move to Arsenal this summer.
The midfielder has been speaking to De Volkskrant, relayed by Voetbal Primeur, about this season under Ruud van Nistelrooy and the apparent interest in him as a result.
The midfielder was a key man for the Dutch side this year, bagging 22 goals and 12 assists in 48 games in all competitions following a move from Paris Saint Germain on a free transfer last summer.
That’s reportedly sparked interest in his signature as clubs eye up a move for one of the hottest rated youngsters in Europe.
Several reports have already linked Arsenal with a move, with one from the Netherlands earlier this month stating that they were the ‘most concrete’ in the market for the player.
That same report stated Simons could be looking for a move as he wants to play Champions League football, something Arsenal can offer him after finishing second in the Premier League this season. He, though, insists he is yet to make a decision on his future.
“I don’t know yet,” he said when asked about the Gunners’ interest.
“I’m now with the Dutch national team, I’m going to work here for two weeks and then we’ll see what happens. Soon we will decide together with family what is best for me.”
