According to a claim in the Italian media, Bologna are showing an interest in Watford forward Stefano Okaka.
The former Italy international signed for Watford form Sampdoria in 2016, but has failed to make an impact since his arrival in England.
TMW report Bologna are hoping to give their new manager Pippo Inzaghi a ‘major reinforcement’ in this transfer window and Okaka is an option for the Serie A side.
Inzaghi recently replaced Roberto Donadoni at Bologna and the former Lazio man is hoping to bolster his attacking options this summer.
However, it’s reported Bologna face competition to sign the Watford player, from the Bundesliga and Premier League. It’s claimed Wolfsburg are monitoring the situation with the 28 year old and could move in on him.
There’s been countless transfer rumours about the player, mainly coming from Italy, and time will tell whether it’s just talk again.
Okaka may have to move on this summer after finding his chances limited at Watford. In two seasons the Italian has played just 34 league games, scoring 5 goals.
