Watford were reportely one of the few clubs who had scouts at the match between Boavista and Braga this weekend.
It’s A Bola who reports the Hornets’ visit to the Estádio da Bessa, where they watched the game along with emissaries from Manchester United and Queens Park Rangers.
Although Watford haven’t been linked to players from either of the two Portuguese clubs lately, there’s clearly something going on in the club’s scouting jobs in Portugal, since they’ve watched both sides at least a couple of times this season.
Boavista won the match with an impressive 4-2 scoreline. Goalkeeper Rafael Bracali, midfielders Nwankwo Obiora and Rafael Costa and winger Mateus have all impressed for the home side.
With Watford needing midfielders for the next season, maybe that’s a good market to have a look at. Any Premier League club would easily sign players from both Boavista or Braga, so the Hornets could find some good deals in case they keep searching in Portugal.
