It’s not yet 9am and there are already conflicting reports about Juan Foyth and Tottenham.
First L’Equipe reported in their Thursday edition that Javier Pastore had spent Wednesday letting everyone at PSG know they need to be ready to welcome his compatriot.
Pastore has been convinced the transfer is happening, explain L’Equipe, although the newspaper themselves don’t sound quite as convinced. Le Parisien are also holding back on claiming a transfer is nearly done, so there’s not a great deal coming from the Paris side of a transfer.
Over in Italy, where AS Roma have supposedly been providing some competition, Calciomercato have claimed an exclusive saying Foyth only wants Tottenham.
‘He wants Tottenham and the Premier League’ claim Calciomercato, so he’s snubbing Roma, and the Italian website also don’t sound too convinced about the PSG reports.
Over in Argentina, El Dia report Estudiantes expected Tottenham to improve their offer, but that hasn’t happened, and PSG’s effort stands at €10.5m.
Estudiantes president Juan Sebastián Verón is quoted as saying of PSG’s offer: “It’s concrete and improves that of Tottenham.”
There’s good and bad for Tottenham and Foyth on Thursday morning, but, regardless of which bits are true, one thing seems clear… If Spurs wants Foyth they need to up their offer and do it quickly.
